Teacher’s Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Aim of the Programme

The aim of the Programme is to develop the proper skills, knowledge and attitudes of the pre-primary educators to face the challenges of teaching at the Early Childhood level in a changing context.

Eligibility/Minimum Entry Requirements

This course is open to in-service pre- primary educators who have:

Either

(i)  5 passes  at SC/GCE‘O’ level, including English Language;

(ii) successfully completed the Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Education (CPECE), Teacher’s Certificate Pre-Primary (TCPP) Programmes or Teacher’s Certificate in Early Childhood Education (TCECE);

(iii)  they also need to have at least 4 years post-TCPP/TCECE teaching experience.

Or

(i)   5 credits at SC/GCE ‘O’ Level including English Language;

(ii)  successfully completed the Teacher’s Certificate Pre-Primary (TCPP) Programme;

(iii)  at least 4 years post-TCPP teaching experience.
